Blue Dog Off and Running in 2010

Friday, 19 February 2010

2010 is off to a flying start at Blue Dog Training. Record numbers of apprentices have been signed in the areas of carpentry, concreting and engineering for January and February 2010. Obviously confidence is returning to the marketplace with a record number of employers increasing their workforce in the New Year.

Many employers are choosing Blue Dog Training because it gives them the flexibility they need to remain competitive in the growing market. The 'Kickstart Allowance' from the Commonwealth Government has provided a further incentive for employers to make the commitment to employ an apprentice. Apprentices 19 years and under attract an additional incentive of $3350 if employed by 28 February 2010.

2009 was a great year for Blue Dog winning Training Provider of the Year at both State and National level. 2010 is shaping up to be just as successful with more and more apprentices and employers experiencing the Blue Dog difference.

As one of our employers recently said "It's 2010 and I have found that only Blue Dog Training offer training that meets my business needs, the apprentice's needs and uses the technology of today. Why would I send the apprentice away to train for weeks at a time when he can fit it around our work commitments?"

Apprentices agree that Blue Dog is meeting the needs of the industry. "The best thing about training with Blue Dog besides the cool name is that I have had the same trainer throughout my apprenticeship. I have his mobile number and I can ring him anytime I need help. It feels like a work mate not a trainer".
