Blue Dog Training is an innovative company that has a passion for quality training. Blue Dog believes that training can be better. It can be done more cost effectively, at a time and place that suits the employer, the learner and the industry. By reducing the financial and administrative burden of employing apprentices on employers, Blue Dog Training has seen an increase in willingness of employers to employ apprentices. This flexibility in training is achieved while increasing knowledge retention and practical experiences for the apprentices which encourages engagement and has resulted in a much lower 'drop out rate' than occurs in traditional type training.

From the conception of Blue Dog as a training provider, a vision was formulated to become the leading provider of training. This is being achieved by the implementation of a training model which delivers high quality training with the following clear objectives:

Blue Dog methodologies are a new way of thinking about learning content. The training process involves dividing learning outcomes into learning objects that are much smaller chunks of learning than units or modules. These interactive objects typically require from 10 to 30 minutes for the apprentice to work through at their own pace.

Each of these self-contained chunks of knowledge or interactions/interpretations are stored in an online database that can be accessed anytime. The results are tracked and feedback is immediate. None of these resources are passive. They require students to view, listen, interpret and/or interact with the visually exciting content in some way. The training system learning objects let the student's access and/or review training when and as it is needed. Blue Dog is committed to continual improvement and quality training and consequently this system is constantly under review.
